Emailing teachers

I feel like any time I email DS's teachers it's always something negative.
He is 3 and goes to the local preschool pop program. He gets speech everyday. I emailed both his teacher and speech teacher today asking how he was doing. It's only the third week, but with the holidays and back to school they hardly been in school...
One email said he needed prompting and another email said he needs guidance transitioning from one place to another during IEP groups.

Honestly that wouldn't bother me too much. I know that DD is there for a reason and if they were emailing me everything is great, then I wouldn't want her in services lol. I think they are just telling you what they are working on with him. Be more specific in your emails and ask what he is going well in and what he is needing assistance with.

I always get emails with issues they are seeing at school. It helps me work on them at home as well.

Thanks. Good point. I guess I'd like to hear some positive, but I know they are busy. They have an afternoon class as well so they get right to the point. When he was in daycare I loved to hear the positive and sweet stories. It's a lot different then a public school where he's going to get extra help.
Thanks again.
