LI Cheer
Anyone have any experience with this place? I wanted to sign my 6 yr old dd for gymnastics but she really wants to do cheerleading but I don't know where is a good place to go. TIA :)

Re: LI Cheer
My DD is a cheerleader for our town & we had to pay extra to do LIC 1x a week for choreography, etc. there. It's a nice facility (no air though) & they don't let parents watch. I know their hall is filled w/ trophies, etc.
What town are you in? Most towns do have a cheer program.

Parents can watch, but only the first week of the month when the curtain is open. I think there are problems with other people "stealing" ideas for choreography, so that is why they keep it closed. The lack of air really bothered me!

Re: LI Cheer
I just wanted her to try some classes before going for the school district team. They travel and everything and don't want to commit to that unless she likes it since she is only 6. They don't let you watch even for the tumble classes?

First week of the month they do. There are multiple classes/teams in the gym at the same time.

Re: LI Cheer
Platinum Athletics in Wantagh has a great cheer and gymnastics program... my daughter is on 2 teams there. They also offer weekly tumble classes. You can go in for a trial and they never close a practice off to parents. Highly recommend this gym :)
