itzbeen timer
If you have this, is it helpful? I received one for my baby shower and I think it may be better than using an app on my phone because I will be getting a lot of help from DH and my parents in the beginning so it will help us all stay on the same page. Or should we just write things down. I would need another one since it's twins, right? I didnt open it yet.
(side note, my mom just showed me her notes from when I was a baby!)

I never wrote anythign down or had a timer or anything like that but with twins I might have done things differently.
Now that DS is in daycare 3 days I love their reports cause I know exactly what he does and what he eats so looking back it might have been good to have.

I had one of those tiny spiral memo pads where I wrote down feedings and tallied wet and dirty diapers. I showed it to the LC when we went and she laughed and called it an "old fashioned iphone" lol. I said we're pretty low tech. It was really all I needed.

Re: itzbeen timer
I bought one and it really helped during the first few months. I had no memory of his feedings since I was so sleep deprived. It helped DH and I communicate when DS was last fed, changed, or went to sleep. However, at 8 1/2 mos, I don't use it anymore bc DS basically lets me know when he is hungry.
I will use it again in the future if baby gets sick to remember when I last gave him tylenol/motrin.

I also received one for my shower and returned it because I found that the app on my phone was so much better and easier to use and since I always had my phone around it was one less thing I needed to keep track of.
The app that I used is called Baby ESP

i would prefer an app too but if a few different people are taking care of them (including my not so high tech mom and MIL), i figured it may be easier to use the itzbeen, right?

I would ask them to write things down and then you can add them to the app. That is what I did when others were helping and I was running errands or sleeping.

Re: itzbeen timer
I loved this thing! I used it for at least 8 months. It made feedings, naps, and diaper changes so easy. All you had to do was press a button. I initially was writing everything down but then I came to realize how annoying that was. It is great for middle of the night feedings when you are too delirious to know what is going on/what time it is. It really helped with going out and having other people help out/babysit. It is one of my must have items!

Re: itzbeen timer
I used this a lot when my son was very young. Since my husband and I were both taking care of him, an app on one of our phones would not have worked well. You can set it to flash after a time limit--say, 3 hours after the last diaper change, which was useful.
