Neuro-cognitive testing
Has anyone ever had this or know what's involved?

I've referred clients for neuro-psych testing. It's so rarely covered by insurance and it is expensive. My MIL had some cognitive testing done (covered) but it was not as extensive as what I've seen in reports from clients. I think they vary the tests somewhat based on the reasons and also based on what tests the provider regularly administers.

The testing is usually done by a psychologist who specializes in brain injury and other cognitive disorders.
I know of some resources but they tend to have huge waitlists.
Often I've gotten places that do it to see someone as a favor, because they know me, and that the client is in desperate need of the services the program I work for provides.
I know of someone else who does it but it's out of pocket.

I think what I'm getting is probably less intensive than that but I don't know.
I'm going Monday to my neurologist's office.
We're using it as a before/after for ADHD treatment.

That might be done right in the neuro's office. I think it might be a computerized test.

What I was referring to was a test performed on the computer, not anything like an EEG.
It's a good question to ask how the test works for people who have figured out compensation techniques. I am sure there are some questions designed for that but the test may not be 100% accurate.

I do a test at my neurologist called the Neurotrax test. It is a computerized test to get a baseline of my skills. Different subtests assess things such as short term memory, processing speed, visual perceptual skills, coordination, etc. Maybe this is similar to what you are having?

I think that was it.
I apparently scored off the charts so he took that to mean I don't have ADHD but I kind of beg to differ based on my symptoms in everydya life
