Oakdale Road, Centerport

We are back to looking (the last house did not "pass" inspection at all).

There is a house on Oakdale Road in Centerport that we are interested in.

However, I have a couple of reservations. There are/were few houses for sale on that street recently and there is a house that appears to be under construction but was stopped/abandoned (owner ran out of money?).

Is there something about the block that I should know or is it simply a coincidence?

Any other advice about the surrounding area -- know about Centerport but not individual blocks -- is appreciated.

My boss lives over there. I don't think those houses really have backyards, which is why some ppl may leave once they have kids. I know I'd prefer to have a yard.
Great area though, and great schools!
