AND how is cutting off herschel's leg going to save him? In the past, a scratch was enough to do them in. He lost half his lower calf muscle ... isn't he done for?
It wasn't like BITE and two seconds later they hacked his leg, it took minutes. That blood circulated past the bite. If he lives, that makes no sense.
honestly, i was thinking the same thing! they were carrying him out and i was waiting for them to either leave him there for dead to turn or for him to change right before our eyes! I don't get how he didn't turn already and how chopping off his leg will help him live!

a lot of little things make no sense.
Like the prisoners that were alive inside. They were SHOCKED to see living human beings. They didnt hear the hundreds of gun shots going on outside for the past two days?  Zombies don't shoot people.

The walking dead...anyone watching?
I love this show, but they flash fwd 6 months and Hershel is the only one with a beard? I guess in between zombie hunting all the men take time to shave.

OMG this really bothers me!! Why does T Dawg have a clean shaven head and face while the rest, esp Herschel, are all scraggly and grown out?? Is he hoarding all the Bic razors or something?????

Poor Herschel, he is a goner. Even if he somehow survives that bite, not having part of his leg would be a huge issue because of regular infection, getting around, running from danger. I am guessing he is a goner next episode.
Also, I noticed in the extended trailer that you never really saw Herschel or Glen except in what appears earlier episodes. When they go to meet the Governor, its just Rick, Darryl ( ) and T Dawg. I hope I am wrong because I love Glen.
Carl is such a little sh!t and needs to go. Lori can join him because I don't like her either.

I agree with you!
I think that Hershel and Glen are going to be leaving the show.
I was thinking that maybe the prisoners didn't hear the gun fire because they are in the center of the prison. But I can't see they way that goes down. I think Rick will kill them if they are in his way.
LOVE that Michone uses arm and jawless zombies as pack rats. LOL
I think Hershel gave up after the farm and he is old so he is getting all wild haired.
Also Rick looks GREAT compared to the end of last season.
I LOVED the episode.
