Monistat 7???

I feel like I've been living on this stuff since my first round of antibiotics at 12 wks for the group b. my OB said its safe. I don't use internally. She said apply externally in morning and at night. She prescribed some kind of steroid cream last week that is cat c and I didn't feel safe using. Now I'm Nervous the Monistat may not be safe either I'm 21 weeks. This is prob my 3rd round of it. And would occasionally apply if I felt itchy. Part of it I think may just be from my hormones.

I am 25 weeks ans I have used Monistat 7 twice already this pregnancy for yeast infections. My doctor said that its safe and I have used it internally and externally both times. If I wasn't pg I would have taken a Diflucan...it was that bad. I dont think that using the Monistat externally is a problem...I would feel comfortable doing that if I still needed it.

I had to use it internally and it cleared it up right away.

Have you tried acidodophilis(sp?) or something like Culturelle? I was told to take this while I was on alot of antibiotics to help to combat getting a yeast infection. Might be a better proactive option.

i used it with my son, 2 YIs during my pregnancy with him i used it internally, totally FINE! I was worried, my OB had to shake me and tell me to TAKE it lol. Felt better almost immediately!

I used Monistat 3 for my YI a couple weeks ago (I was going away and needed a quick fix). The dr said it was totally safe, I couldn't take any of the oral stuff because of the pregnancy.

I've had to use it a few times this pregnancy, but just started taking a probiotic (checked with my dr first) and have been so much more comfortable! You may want to try it.
