Is anyone experiencing what I am calling Sandy 2? Violent Vomit and diahrehea at the same time?

It started out last week with my husband having the runs. He did not have it as bad as I do. His issue only lasted 24 hours. Then my baby who just turned one ended up with the same as him.

Today, it hit my mother and I at the same time. This time worse symptoms than my hubby and baby ( thanks god it didn't get worse for the baby).

It starts out with a stabbing pain in the stomach. I felt like I needed to vomit and did so. Then a few minutes later I had diahrehea. Then came the heat taking over my body like as it it were going to combust. I felt cold after that immediately. Then I started having to go at the Same time!!! I had to bring a bucket in the bathroom with me. It's pretty gross and it makes you feel like you're dying.

Shortly after, my mom ended up experiencing the same symptoms. We kept alternating bathrooms. Thank god there is more than one!

You end up feeling so weak that you cant even walk. I ended up with aches in my back and legs as well.

I have no appetite. I've been sipping water and took. Imodium liquid form and at least that has helped with the violent diaherra.

You cant sleep bc the weakness and pain is so much.
Now my dad has it it's 4am and its hit him too.

If anyone else is experiencing this terrible virus? I have called it Sandy 2. It's that bad :(

I'm finally starting to stop doing both vomit and bathroom issues . I would say it subsided when I took the Imodium.. It took awhile though. I still feel like crap.. Good luck to anyone else who gets this!

I'm so sorry! Stomach virus's are the worst..make sure you stay hydrated and start taking probiotics to get the good gut bacteria populating again. Feel better

had the same issues for over 2 weeks - after a week of literally not being able to walk bc of not being able to eat and having vomiting and severe diarrhea all day long i went to the dr. i was referred to a GI bc i have stomach issues to begin with. took another week to get in and he ran a bunch of blood and stool tests bc stomach bugs don't usually last that long.

turned out i had a parasite and had to be put on antibiotics.

lost 14 lbs in 2 weeks.

it is highly contagious but thankfully no one in my family got it. the one i had is transferred thru water or foods such as salads or fruit thats not washed properly

I had this last night.It must be a virus. Now I am exhausted. All I want to do is sleep. Feel better!

Hope you feel better. I had that once and it was food poisoning. With all the power out if you ate out you also are never sure if restaurants or stores kept everything as cold as it should have been.

i had it over the weekend!!!! it was horrible!! i was trying to figure out what i eat and what not. I have never had pains like that before, it was soooo bad.

Ugh. I got it yesterday morning. Horrible. I too was thing "what did I eat" but then severe knee, ankle and back pain set in and I knew it wasn't food poisoning. I was whaling and rocking all night bc of my knees and back.
