please recommend a neurologist in Queens, LI or Manhattan
I have been having pounding headaches past 5 days and I can't take it any more, Tylenol and Motrin don't seem to help much so I'm getting a bit worried. I think it's time to see someone . TIA
P.S. I realize that this belongs on health but I know more people will see it here and I'll get a response quicker so I can make an appt tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't get moved ...

My headache specialist is in the Bronx but he is amazing he is only about 12 miles from Bayside. Here is his info: Dr. Brian Grosberg, Montefiore Headache Center, (718) 405-8360 He is AMAZING!
If you want to stick to LI I use to see Dr. Robert Duarte at LIJ. He is great but does not specialize in headache.
If you can take aspirin give it a try. I suffer from daily chronic migraine and when all the other meds fail it is usually aspirin that works.

Dr. Noah Rosen. DH has been going to him for a little over a year due to daily migraines. He's very knowledgeable and the director of the headache center at north shore lij. If he doesn't take your insurance, there are other drs in his practice that take other insurances.

Didnt you recently have a baby? Did you tell your OB about the headaches? I am curious also if you had a spinal tap or epidural, b/c that could somehow be related.
Also wondering if you could be anemic after your delivery. I would def see a doctor asap. Wish I had one to rec but seems you got some good ones. Hope you feel better soon.

Dr. Mehrdad Golzad. I see him Fresh Meadows but I think he's also in Elmhurst.
I went to SO many doctors, got tens of thousands of dollars worth of testing ad he diagnosed me in just one conversation and gave me a great path to eliminate my headaches. He is the ONLY doctor who looked me in the eye and said "We are going to get rid of these headaches"

I had both spinal and epidural . I read about spinal headache after spinal but I read usually it happens within days after surgery, mine started 6 days ago. So 7 w after the spinal. I did speak to my OB and they said to let them know if it goes on, will be calling them today. Thank you .

Headaches not relieved by meds could be your blood pressure. Esp if you just had a baby you should get checked.
