Re: Les Miserable movie
So excited to see this!!!
If they were able to condense the novel into a great musical, I have hope that this movie version will live up to my expectations. Though I'm not looking forward to crying my eyes out in front of strangers in a movie theater

Re: Les Miserable movie
so excited, hope it's not a let down...Also, I may have to go to a matinee bc I'm certain I'll annoy the people around me by singing along through the whole thing!

Re: Les Miserable movie
Wasn't there a version of this with Claire Danes? Maybe no singing?
In any case, I am excited about this version.

Les Miserable movie
I watched a featurette on it and I am so excited! The director really took a chance with his cast and opted to NOT record a soundtrack before filming and instead required the actors to sing live on set. So instead of lip synching the actors can now focus on their acting and singing instead of just making sure they were matching the lyrics they sang months earlier in a studio. It should make the film have more of a feel like the broadway show and allow more flexibility with scenes.
I'm a huge les Miz fan and this film looks like it might just deliver the film adaption I've been waiting 20 years for.

I cried during the trailer. I can't even imagine the movie, lol. My poor husband. I am going to be embarrassing.

I did too. I'm going to need my own box of kleenex to get through the whole movie.

Yep, she was Cosette, Liam Neeson was Valjean....Uma Thurman, Fantine....Geoffrey Rush was Javert. Pretty good, but definitely not the musical.
I can't flippin' wait for this movie!!!! I love Christmas anyway but now I am DYING for it just cuz of this movie !

Re: Les Miserable movie
I have seen Les Mis more times than I can count. My favorite rendition was in London. I was near sobbing with Valjean's "God on High". I can't WAIT to see this movie.
