Question about photo studios (picture people, jc penny etc.) and pricing
Hi - I've never used one of these places before and I'm trying to figure out how my local photography studio compares pricewise to decide what to do this year.
INCLUDING the CD of all the pics - how much would I pay at one of these places for holiday pics of my two kids? Trying to get an idea of also what the most reasonable prices are out there right now as well (if any special deals pls let me know)!
TIA

At JC Penney I believe the disc was somewhere around $250. Or you can pay per picture (like $30+ per picture)

Question about photo studios (picture people, jc penny etc.) and pricing
Last year I had a groupon for Sears. In addition to the prints I got with the groupon I paid $150 for the disc of all images.

actually, it's $4 per sheet.
it's more if you have enhanced portraits--words, more than one shot (collage), etc. but even those aren't $30+
I just went yesterday and spent $129 + tax on 108 Christmas cards, 1 8x10, a sheet of wallets, and 6 sheets of 2 5x7s.
so minus the $54 for Christmas cards, it was $75 for 8 sheets of pics (all enhanced except 2)--so 6 sheets for $67 and 2 sheets at $4 each. Approx $11 dollars a sheet.
they also have a special for November that includes an 8x10, some 3.5x5s and wallets I think for $8. I didn't get that though.
kahlua is right that the CD is about $250 or so if you buy it alone. the more you spend on pics the cheaper it gets. I think the lowest it can be is $50 but I don't know what the portrait purchase would be for that.
hope that helps!

I think she means that it is @$30 per JPG if you only want 1 or 2 photos in order to make cards or whatever.
I actually remember it being a little higher, around $50 for 1 or 2 JPGs at JC Penney, but I haven't been there since last February.
