Looking to buy help
Ok so hubby and I are planning to move to Massapequa. I love the plain edge district but my realtor brought to my attention a home in north Massapequa but the school district was farmingdale. Does anyone send there kids or live in the district that can give me insight on whether or not the school district is good? Tia I really appreciate it

Re: Looking to buy help
I live in North Mass in the Farmingdale district. No kids, but my next door neighbors have two girls and they're very happy with the school district - actually they're both teachers in the district too. We've been very happy where we are

Re: Looking to buy help
We're in N. Mass, Plainedge SD. Our realtor kept mentioning Fmgdl schools b/c they area is usu cheaper, but I really didn't want to go there. It wasn't always the best from what I understand, although my husband went there (granted, years ago) and said it wasn't bad. Depends on what you're looking for. I just kept looking until I found what I wanted, since I have a 1-yo.

Re: Looking to buy help
I think you would be better off changing the title of this thread to Farmingdale School district, to get more replies. Never buy in a district without doing your research, despite how much you love the home. So hopefully you will get some replies. Also, drive around the areas in that school district and see what you think.
Also, www.greatschools.net, is helpful. hth
