Went back to the RE today
Hi Everyone, Just keeping up to date on my RE experiences.
I went to the RE this morning at 8:30 (with a little head ache from the 2 glasses of wine I had at the GTG!!)
They did an internal sonogram. Basically its a long rod that they put a condom on and lube up. I started to freak out because I thought the WHOLE rod was going to be inside of me. Then I realized that it was only the first inch or two that went in. It kind of felt like a tampon. I got to see my (tilted) uterus and my ovaries. I saw black spots on both ovaries and right away assumed the worst - that something was wrong with my ovaries  BUT...the nurse explained to me that those were my follicals - it looked like there were 4 on each ovary. So that took all of 5 mintes.
Then they drew more blood from me to do all my cycle day 3 blood tests (again). I'll find out the results from the sonogram and the blood when I got back to meet with the RE on Thursday. On Thursday I'll also have a saline sonogram. Then DH goes to the RE next Saturday for his SA. The nurse told him I could help 
I really REALLY like this RE office. I feel so comfortable there!! I'll update you on Thursday after my next appointment.

I'm glad you're comfortable with them. I can't imagine what you've been thru, but I know you're a strong woman and will make it!!! Hope all the tests weren't too painful.

What is a saline sonogram? I never had one of them...

From what I can tell, a saline sono in another internal sono which shows a lot more detail and shows if there are fibroids, pollups, endometriosis or other issues.

It's the Reproductive Specialists of New York, their Mineola office. They have an office in Stonybrook too. I see Dr. Mary Bray in the Mineola office. They have a web site too, it's www.rsofny.com

Kathy, it sounds like Dr. Bray is being very aggressive with you (in a GREAT way) in terms of getting you lots of appts and getting a lot of procedures done right away. That's WONDERFUL! My RE is a little more stand-offish in that regard but I think it's bc she's just waiting for me to give her the go-ahead to start IVF. That's really my only option at the RE right now. I'm opting to do the surgery, even given its grim results, so that's my next step. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!

Kathy I was thinking of you , knowing you were going back for yoru sono on Sat.. so so SO happy to hear that you are so satisfied with this RE and that you are really getting good results there!
I love that the nurse said that about your DH's SA 
I am very happy things are going so much better at this doctor than they have in the past

My next appointment is this Thursday 7/7 for the saline sono. Then it's DH's turn Saturday 7/10 for his SA ...crossing my fingers that all goes well with the tests so we can start IUI next cycle!!
Yes, RSofNY is EXCELLENT. I do love my OBGYN but this place blows her away!
