Helppp.. This weekend I a had a cyst burst........

Sorry if a little TMI but I have to explain from start to finish.....

On saturday I was feeling fine... As a matter of fact STBDH and I DTD ( if you know what I mean )

Well right afterwards I started to get to get excrutiating stomach pains and started to bleed a little. MY STBDH forced me to got to the ER .. He was freaking out. They did a cat scan... Nothing... They did a ultrasound and the " think" that I had a cyst rupture.. So they tell me, follow up with your OB on MOnday and wrote me a script for pain meds, there was nothing else they could do for me. Yesterday I was ok, not in too much pain, even got up and helped my STBDH decorate outside a little. Later on last night, I was wrapping a few presents and just started gushing blood... It scared the !@#$ out of me ! MY STBDH wanted to rush home from work and take me to the ER again but I refused.. I am trying to deal with this until I can get into my Dr but I am in so much pain and the flow is so much worse than a normal period that I am just freaking out... Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing ? I was told that cysts rupturing is quite normal in women....

I had a very similar experience two months ago. (A good friend also shared that she had a cyst burst shortly after DTD as well, incidentally. Her husband had to carry her to the car, as she was in so much pain!)
My gynecologist checked everything out, just like your ER docs did, and since everything looks ok, it seems that the anecdotal evidence points to a cyst bursting. I was not happy not knowing conclusively, but I was assured by my gyn that this is quite common. The heavy bleeding, especially since it wasn't that time of the month, freaked me out a great deal!
I would advise to watch it, and follow up with your ob/gyn no matter what, if only to get checked out more fully and feel better about it all.
It IS scary, but your situation seems to parallel mine a lot. Hang in there, sweetie :)

Google Corpus Luteal Cyst...sounds like it could be that. Hopefully, the bleeding is just your period. We all get these cysts during ovulation. Some are so small that we can't feel them...but when the larger ones rupture right around period time...it is excruciating. There will be so much free floating fluid throughout your abdominal cavity. I've had this happen a few times and could barely sit, let alone walk or do anything a normal human could do. You will feel better gradually as the fluid reabsorbs...a few days to a week at most. Hopefully this is the case for you.
