Does anyone sleep with a sleep mask?
I am seriously considering getting one, but feel like I'd laugh at myself the first time. DH watches tv to go to sleep and I like it dark so I'm always fluffing the blanket up so it hides the tv light.
DH mentioned the mask and I told him he'd probably laugh at me wearing it.
Figured I'd ask if anyone does wear it and if it helps.

Not regularly, but I do keep one handy and have used it in the past. Its great on airplanes too.
My head is the size of a watermelon so I had to stretch the elastic bands a bit to make it comfy 
I feel like a pompous ass when I wear it but a good night's sleep is worth looking like a fool IMO!

I lost my Jet Blue sleep mask in Sandy lol... right now tho we are in a basement and its ridiculously dark down there so i dont need it. But i will get another one when we move back home!

My father does  and we all laugh at him well, just because he is my father 
But it works for him since my mom likes to watch tv in bed.

My DH does and he swears by it (even though we sleep in a pitch black room with blackout curtains). I used to have one for traveling, too. We got them at Dream Essentials

I do and LOVE it! My dh keeps the tv on and the light bothers me, it has made such a difference.

i have one for flying, but I never thought to use it at home. We don't have a tv in our room, but we do leave the bedside lamp on if the other is isn't in bed yet, and seomtimes that makes it hard out sleep. I should dig mine out of my travel stuff.

I have several of these from Dream Essentials. I actually can't sleep without it anymore.

My DH needs TV to fall asleep also; and I do the EXACT same thing. I try to make a tent out of the covers so the light is out my eyes. I usually go in my drawer and take a a pair of socks or any other intimate I can find and cover my eyes; it's time for a mask!

That's funny.
I call it a tent too. Sometimes DH moves around a bit and I yell at him that he ruined my tent. Ha!

I wear a sleep mask. I need complete darkness to sleep and finally caved in and it's the best thing I have done.
I can say I sleep so much better and wake up feeling so much more refreshed when I wear one.

Tried sleep masks, but they still let some light in. When I tightened the straps, I would pull it off in the middle of the night, and then DH would wake and put the TV on. It got to be a real PITA.
Now I just use a washcloth, fold it and block all the light. It gets washed frequently...something that I was concerned about with the silk sleep masks.

I JUST lost mine on a trip and I am super bummed because my DH likes to fall asleep with the tv on and I can't sleep that way.

Yes but i only use it if i'm hungover and it's too sunny out for me to sleep 
i don't think i could sleep with one every night b/c i find the strap a little annoying.

I've been wearing one daily for at least 3 years. What an amazing difference!! I don't wake up when DH comes in or out with light, or uses the master bath in the middle of the night. I don't wake in the morning due to sun coming through the curtains. It's fabulous!!!!
