I'm being really annoying - need Aruba help
We have a desination wedding in Aruba during Easter week this upcoming year. I am trying to figure out where to stay without breaking the bank.
My best deals are for the Bucuti and the Wyndham. For a few hundred dollars more I can stay at the all inclusive Divi, and for a few hundred more than that I can stay at the Marriot (not all inclusive).
We weren't really looking to do all inclusive cause of all the great restaurants, but if it's only a few hundred more, I kind of feel like why not?
Can I get advice please?!
Thanks!

I like all-inclusive because even if you eat breakfast and lunch in the hotel and go out for dinner, I think it's still cheaper. You also have to consider drinks. Not necessarily alcohol, but even soda and water and everything because it is hot there.
We've stayed twice at The Allegro, but not sure what's changed since they remodeled it (all-inclusive) and I thought they had one of the nicest pools on the Palm Beach strip.

Re: I'm being really annoying - need Aruba help
We honeymooned at the Wyndham and did all inclusive. It's now called the Aruba Resort and Casino. They only recently changed ownership.
We loved all-inclusive for our honeymoon because we drank a lot and we didnt want to think about where we were going to eat. The Wyndham has quite a few good restaurants to choose from and we were never bored with our options. We also ate 3 meals a day, because we could. Normally we'd eat maybe twice a day on vacation. We had a very relaxing schedule and we did our own thing the whole week. I liked not having to think about a darn thing when I was on vacation!
If we went back to Aruba, I'm not sure if we'd do all-inclusive again, just because we'd want to venture out more the 2nd time around. Like you said, there are a lot of great restaurants to choose from on the island. Also, I might not have the desire to drink pina coladas at 10am every day if it's not part of my A.I. package!
And if we went back, we'd stay at the Hyatt because that hotel was gorgeous!!

The Marriot was really nice and we did not do all inclusive. We got to experience a lot of good restaurants. You also get a balcony which is really nice to have. A lot of the other hotels did not have balconys or they were very tiny.
I went to Allegro too which is all inclusive. The drinks were not very good and watered down so me and DH wound up going to other places to drink. But it was a nice hotel and people there like to have F-U-N. The hotel pool during the day was crazy.

Thank you all for your opinions. I am kind of leaning towards the all inclusive just because it is only a three hundred dollar difference between the other hotel we would be leaning towards. I am SURE that we will eat and drink that 300 in no time!
This isn't our honeymoon and it isn't even the big vacation for the year, so I really don't want to break the bank although I know that they Hyatt is beautiful. But thank you again for your responses!

Check out tripadvisor.com When we looked for our honeymoon, the Divi had some mixed reviews re: the quality of food, etc., but it looks beautiful.

We stayed at the Wyndam a few years ago and really liked it especially because it was all inclusive and they give you dinner vouchers to eat out at certain really good restaurants. You are not limited to only their restaurants.
