1st birthday party ideas/locations
Our DC is turning 1 and we are looking for some birthday suggestions and venues for a 1 year old. Some early elementary children will be present as well. Age range from 1-5, along with some adults.
We live in Suffolk County near Islip and are hoping for some reasonably cost suggestions. If we have it at a restaurant, what do you do with the toddlers/older children inside besides a craft? Any craft ideas that take longer than 5 minutes as well, lol?

hey! what month is your DC's birthday? My son turned one in August and we rented out the estate at Seatuck environmental center in Islip and it was great! you have the whole first floor of the old house. We had a buffet in one room, guest seating in another room, kids and crafts and kiddie entertainment in another room and you also have access to the courtyard if you want to use outside for the kids to play. It was nice since everyone was able to walk around. If you want to know more about it or see some pics just ask!

we had Professional Kids Entertainment come for an hour and they were great! we had kids from 1-5 and they were all entertained!

We just had out daughters first birthday at the Long Island aquarium. It was the same cost as a restaurant and you get the use of the aquarium too. We were very happy with the end result.
The staff was great. Everyone liked the food and the aquarium gave everyone something to do. Feel free to FM me for details.
