Does your infant wear shoes?
Another thread got me wondering...does your infant wear soft-soled shoes? I had read that it was better not to put any shoes on infants' feet until they were starting to walk, so DD has always just been in socks. The Robeez are really cute though!

Does your infant wear shoes?
No, despite the fact that she's been given tons of shoes as gifts, I don't put them on her. Other than for her Christmas pic. I bought a pair that matched her dress for christmas day but they were too big and looked silly so she didn't wear them. She also has a cute pair of boots but only wore them once.

Once we put shoes on her when she was wearing a dress to meet Santa. And the other day my mom came home with cute pink Uggs. We tried to put them on her but they kept falling off.

Re: Does your infant wear shoes?
My ped so no shoes at all until full on walking. It's actually better for their developing feet to be shoeless. She only wore socks until she was full time walking

Does your infant wear shoes?
I only recently started putting shoes on DS for the trips to and from daycare mostly because his poor little feet were freezing. Even though he's wearing socks and two blankets over his legs, he kicks off the blankets. But once we're inside the shoes come off.

Re: Does your infant wear shoes?
Okay, I thought maybe I was out of the norm because my father and grandfather were both in the shoe business, and would not have approved of shoes on DD due to it not being good for development. I can't wait to buy her first "walkers" though!

Does your infant wear shoes?
I just put on Robeez - I am not sure if they technically count as shoes since they are more like a slipper. I only use them to keep DS' socks on - usually he has the first one off before I get the second one on if I don't put the Robeez on (he deliberately pulls them and I use the long ones from Childrens Place or Target so it's the only way).

I only used fur lined booties when outside because otherwise his little feet were freezing! Otherwise he does not wear shoes in the house at all.

DS never wore shoes until he walked and even now, its rare that I put them on him (only if we go out).

I put bear paw boots on DD when we go out because socks are not warm enough when we run errands. but other than that she is usually in socks

Re: Does your infant wear shoes?
I only put shoes on my 8 mo when we 're going somewhere to keep her feet warm and complete her "look.". :). She takes a library class every so often and I've realized the carpets are a but dirty from all the use, I'd prefer her to ave shoes n there. If we're home, shoes are off.

Re: Does your infant wear shoes?
the only time I have ever put shoes on my girls was once they were standing and we were going to be outside a lot and it was cold. for example, new years day we took them to the aquarium. There are lots of outside things to look at and their shoes kept their feet warm. Also they wanted to stand with their hands on the glass and look at the fish. I didnt want their socks on the grimy floor. we also used them at the pumpkin farm for the same reasons. and on christmas eve and day because it looked cute with their dresses. otherwise no shoes. It is bad for their feet.

Re: Does your infant wear shoes?
No shoes until they are moving. I do have tons of shoes though that were given to me that we may use on occassion for pictures, but other than the 20 minute photo op, they are useless IMO.
