What color suit for 1st Communion?
Do boys have to wear white suits for their Communion?

You should ask your church what the dress code is. Ava's was last may and all of the boys wore black or navy.

We did a dark suit (navy blue).

What color suit for 1st Communion?
We bought a navy suit - Calvin Klein from Macy's. I think most do navy, navy pinstripe, white or I've also seen the navy blazer with tan pants.

My son wore navy. I'm not a fan of white at all. Some kids wore a white jacket. Some had white ties. There were no restrictions.

At our church all of the boys wore white robes, so it did not matter what they wore underneath. All the girls wore white dresses and daisy crowns in their hair.

I taught 2nd grade for 13 years and there was no color code. The boys usually wore navy, but some wore black, brown and white.

Really? Why? It's a very "Italian" thing, and while my son didn't wear white (although I considered it) there were several boys rockin' white suits and they looked very handsome.

My youngest son was the token Italian white suit. I know, I know, but he looked so cute with his olive skin. My oldest son wore navy.

The boys in our family wear a white suit. There is just something about a boy receiving communion in an all white suit that tugs at my heart. Probably because it reminds me of how quickly they grow up since the last time they were in all white was for their baptism. My son wont care if he is the only in all white.
He knows he is "fresh to death" in anything he wears 
ETA: I am 1st generation italian. Some of my cousins in Italy wore white and some wore blue/black.
