Very large crate recommendation
We have a 70lb boxer who really needs to be crated during the day. He is very destructive because of his separation anxiety. We spoke with a trainer and she suggested a combination of a low dosage of medication that the vet prescribed and crating. Can you please recommend a very strong and large crate? Thanks!

I had a wire one from Petco. The largest one they had. I think it was an XL.
Similar to this one.

Re: Very large crate recommendation
We have a great dane and actually use an outdoor kennel inside the house. It's 6 ft. x 10 ft. x 6 ft high, it was $199 i think. We have it set up in the basement with a carpet & bed. He is house trained, he just has separation anxiety like your dog & will chew. This is big enough for him to be comfortable. We got it from home depot and the carpet remnant also from home depot and then we got an indestructible dog bed. He had eaten about 10 beds before I found this one but this one he can’t chew.

I wish I had the space for this! I will definitely look into the dog bed though! Thanks.

Re: Very large crate recommendation
I just ordered this one from Wayfair for our Airdale and it would fit a much larger dog, he has room to spare!
It's 48*30*33 and was only $88 with free shipping.

Very large crate recommendation
I have the icrate (model 1548) by Midwest for my 70 lb. dog. DH and I call it the Taj Mahal because I can actually fit in it with my dog and all of his stuff. I have a wonderful separation anxiety protocol that I used with my dog- it is intensive but really works. I have posted it a few times-FM me if you want it. I would highly recommend seeing a Vetinary behaviorist before just turning to medication. Dr. Lindell is highly recommended by the group of trainers I use: http://www.lindellvetbehavior.org/ I found that helping my dog build confidence also helped decrease his anxiety.
