DEVA CURL?
Anyone use it?...I need to change all products on my curly, frizzy hair...I think I have been using them too long and they have lost their effect...
What products do you use?

Re: DEVA CURL?
here is a link to what i have used. i like their shampoo and conditioner and i have the deep conditioner but havent tried it yet. the thing is, theyre super pricey. ive found that trader joes natural conditioner (no sulfates) is a great and cheap alternative.

Re: DEVA CURL?
Love their products I use both. Shampoo and conditioner and two hairdressers I use always comment on how healthy my hair is. I don't wash my hair everyday often I just use the conditioner.

Re: DEVA CURL?
I'm not a big fan of their products at all. Specifically the gels. I prefer Aveda for the gel.
BUT I do love the dry cut, which I get at LaCole - Stephanie is the best!

Re: DEVA CURL?
totally and completely overrated IMO - Hate the products - HATE the salon even more !!
I use L'Oreal professional shapmpp/conditioner - But I also love Nexxus, and Garnier
My favorite 'go to' gel is Nexxus .......but L'oreal makes a really nice mousse that's in their 'no sulfate' line ........

Re: DEVA CURL?
I have tried some of their products and liked them for a bit, but I recently tried Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Amplifier and I really love it! I did get a haircut by a deva stylist and really liked it.

Same for me -- since I started using these products, I actually wear my hair down pretty much every day. This was NEVER the case for me before. Makes a huge difference. Make sure to really massage the No Poo into your scalp, and use the One Condition more towards the ends. I use the gel also, and flip my head and do a little combing, then scrunch up. The end.
My hair is really curly and super prone to frizziness...this is the only thing that keeps it looking good!

I think I might give this a try. I use the Deval Curl Angel (a gel) religiously and it's the only thing that keeps my hair smooth and frizz-free lately. Does anyone know if the No Poo and One Condition is good for color-treated hair? I dye my hair dark and it's prone to fading.

Re: DEVA CURL?
I know this is an old post.
At the time I said I loved the stuff I wasn't exclusively using Deva. I was using some Redken Real Control as well. Now that I am shampooing and conditioning with Deva Curl i have MAJOR dry scalp issues. I never have this problem. I complained at the salon and wanted to reutrn the product but they told me there is no way it could have done it to me and it's "winter scalp" which i have never had before.
I also find that NoPoo has such a STRONG smell. I think this may be part of the issue since I am sentiivie to scented products and use scent free soap, deodorant, etc. Anyone else experience this?

I thought I was the only one! It's given me the worst dry scalp I've ever had in my life. Completely overrated IMO.

Re: DEVA CURL?
Me too!! I thought it was because at first i used it with a regular gel so I gave it another try and my scalp is super dry, itchy and flakey! I've never had a problem with flakes. I've been using no poo and the conditioner for about 2 months now thinking maybe my hair was adjusting but it's gotten worse. I recently started using ouidads gel and I LOVE it. It works much better on my hair than arc angel. It's not sticky and washes out easily. I have ouidads Styling cream which weighs my curls down a bit but works great on my toddlers curls. I do like the deva curl heaven in a jar, used it a few times but an not sure if its contributing to my dry scalp.
