Britney Spears's engagement is off!
The former X Factor judge, 31, and her fiancé Jason Trawick have called it quits, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
The pair, who began dating in 2009, got engaged on Trawick's 40th birthday in December of 2011.
In March 2011, Spears opened up about the relationship with her former agent, explaining, "We're really normal. We just like to watch movies. We work out a lot. We love to work out. We do stuff together like that. We take walks." season.
The news of the breakup comes on the same day that Spears announced she would not be returning to The X Factor.
Spears has two sons, Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The couple divorced in 2006.

I feel bad for her. First she quits X Factor, now the break-up.. Wonder if something else is going on. He seemed very close w/ her sons too so that must be a tough situation for everyone.

She has the personality of a wet dish rag... I hated her on X Factor... her "I just don't get it" line bothered the hell out of me. Give some feedback have an opinion, say something useful. I am glad she is gone.

there have been so many blind posts about them lately i was hoping it wouldn't be them...but....
at least its over and she can move on. i feel bad for her and hope this doesn't set her on a downward spiral.
