client gifts and etiquette
I have a few social media clients on the side of my full time job. I thought it would be a nice touch to send them each a Harry and David gift basket - 2 of my 3 clients received their gift basket and neither acknowledged it by email or telephone. I confirmed with the company that my card was included. DH says its normal not to say thank you in this dynamic but I don't get it? That sounds wrong to me. thoughts?

Most companies have rules about accepting gifts. Maybe they are just not acknowledging it so it doesnt create a problem.

I get ton of baskets/ gifts from vendors. Like 30-50 depending on the year. Its crazy and i share with the whole office. I will thank the vendor when i speak with them or send them a quick email. I think its pretty rude not to.
I want to work where you work!!!!
i do give my clients gifts and some thank me like crazy, some a quick note and some not at all to the point that I'm wondering whether they got it

We send out probably 100 gift baskets every holiday season to our top clients and if we get 10 "thank you's" that would be alot.
