How to Find an Occassional Housekeeper
Hello! About a year and a half ago my husband and I moved to Manhasset. We now have a 14 month old boy and both work full time. I finally got my husband to agree that I need some help with cleaning, so we are going to start looking for a housekeeper that can come bi-weekly. I have tried 2 services in the past and they were terrible. No attention to detail, etc. Any suggestions on where to find reliable help? Also, what should I expect to pay? This is all new to me! Our house isn't too big (~1,700 sf)- 3 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 bath, kitchen, living room, dining room, and family room. Would lvoe to find someone flexible enough to help with window cleaning and cabinet cleaning twice a year and would pay extra. Any suggestions on how to get started and what to expect to pay would be very much appreciated! Thanks

My mom does housecleaning.. She's actually not working until February (had a surgery). I think you should expect to pay $100-$175.. Don't quote me though. LOL I'm not sure if she has time to take on any more houses but FM if you want her number. Good luck!

I work in Manhasset and our sexton, the man who takes care of keeping the church clean and its maintenance, is always looking for extra work. His wife is also a housekeeper. They are both sweet and trustworthy people. If you want me to get you in contact with him, PM me :)
