If you did IVF, how long were you on PIO, suppositories, & delestrogen?
i was on PIO til around 11w, suppositories until something like 8 or 9w and i never had to take delestrogen

If you did IVF, how long were you on PIO, suppositories, & delestrogen?
i'm supposed to go off at 12w but i'm going to ask my RE if i can make it 11 since there are so many hard bruises on my a** that i literally can't find a spot to inject anymore

Same here PIO till 11 weeks and suppositories and estrace until week 8.

Do you happen to know why it's longer for an FET than a fresh?

Sorry to put a side post on this topic, but when you guys did come off the meds did the dr just tell you to stop the med or were you weaned off?

I used to. 
It has something to do with your body not making something that it does make during a fresh cycle.  Yeah, I know-that was So informative.

I was told that I just stop them. It worried me so I asked if there's followup bloodwork to check levels & was told no, b/c the placentas are taking over by that point I believe.

ok I guess that makes sense! I thought at first it would make more sense for a IVF cycle to need more time on the drugs but I guess in ways ivf is a more "natural" process  as far as actually ovulating and your body being up to speed with what's going on.
By the way.. I'm calling two girls for you!

Lol I sounded so knowledgeable there... sorry, too much time has passed since I learned it. But yes, to sum it up thats exactly right. A fresh cycle your body is more in tune w making the proper hormones, etc...
Lol, we'll see. Between you, DH and me, one of us will be right assuming all continues to go ok!

I was a fresh but it was still 12 weeks for me..It is probably because I am over 40 though

My 1st pregnancy I was on PIO for 10wks.
This pregnancy I was told I can go off at 9 wks. but I stayed on until 10-11 just for my own comfort.

First pregnancy I stopped suppositories and estrogen by 10 weeks. I weaned off the progesterone. This pregnancy I stopped the estrogen in the middle of my 8th week, and the RE said to stop suppositories again at 10. He said I can go cold turkey, but at my first OB appointment today, she said I can wean of by 12 weeks. I am a nervous nelly, so I am going to do that!
