Communion Pictures
Does anyone have a recommendation for a photographer who will come to your home on the communion day that is not super pricey (super pricey meaning total price for photo session and print package fees). Not looking to spend $500+ but prefer not to go to Sears, Target etc. I just want some basic pictures of my son dressed up that day and some with his siblings/parents.

we took our own pics that day. I took some of DD getting hari done etc, pics with friends at church and other pics outside church (just asked a fami;y member or other parents to take a few pics of us with her. Then we did a photo book on Snapfish (had a coupon) and it came out great. She really loves having the book and having the pics with her friends that made communion with her that day in it as well as family. We also got an 8x10 and some other sizes as well as wallet size to put in the thank you's on Snap or Shutterfly, don't remember which and they came out great

I recommend Sears. Did not spend too much and the pictures came out great.

Honestly...go to JC Penney.
My older son had his portraits done there and they came out BEAUTIFUL!!
Here is a link to see pics. They are blurry because they are copied from their site
My younger son makes his Communion in May and we will definitely be going back to JC Penney.
I had the pics taken in April and had them printed by the time his Communion day came. I used the pics as decorations at the restaurant and also gave a pic of him with each favor.

If you find someone let me know. I will do the same (have 2-3 people who FM'ed me or friends who are getting me numbers). My family always had someone come to our house for ours and really would like the same. I really am trying to avoid the mall stores. I have done many holiday pics and such and find my son very stiff and I come home very stressed. They are always hit or miss. I have had people who spend the time getting natural pics and some who just want to get it done and could care less. I have had much better results with photographers at home or candid photojournalistic type work. Also I would love some sibling and a family shot and no way am I getting dressed up to go to the mall and never would get my DH to do that either. Unfortunately the person I love is out of my budget now and booked anyway for the month of May. I do plan on taking tons of my own pictures - I always do but prefer some done professional as well - if I can.
