Dh and I need a new tv show to watch
Portlandia is making me feel awkward & laughy at the same time these days too. Kinda like Girls :D

Lost, Scandal, Fringe, 24, Survivor, True Blood (at least the first 2 or 3 seasons, I don't watch it now), Game of Thrones... Doctor Who, but only if you're super nerdy like me. 
ETA: How could I forget Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and The Walking Dead.
Your DH probably won't like Vampire Diaries or Supernatural, but I love them!

They weren't on for very long but I loved Huff and Dead Like Me

If you are into zombies, The Walking Dead is hands-down the BEST show on TV! The second half of season 3 premieres February 10th on AMC. I know that the first two seasons are available via Netflix. Get past the first couple of episodes and you'll be HOOKED!!!!

Homeland!! Just started watching it last week...started at episode 1, going on season 2 episode 5 now. I'm hooked!! Cant stop watching. Awesome show!
