I only have positives things to say about LIIVF and perhaps it is because I got pregnant and now have a daughter. We tried IVF again last month and yesterday, we found out we are pregnant again! My doctor was previously Dr. Droesch and this time around it was Dr. Kenigsberg. You will see the nurses more so than the doctors. And your retrieval and transfer may not be your doctor doing the procedures. As for Dr. Kokkanen, I met her at my transfer. She seemed to pleasant. She did a successful transfer, so I am happy! Good Luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I also go to LI IVF, but i see Dr Brenner- (LOVE HIM) and jill the nurse

Dr Kot has preformed my surgery, me personally not a fan of her, i felt she has no personality

Good luck, that was just my opinion

I saw her. She was great. Always called me and went over my case. Talked to me about "more" aggressive options vs. "less" aggressive options. She listened to my opinions about things. Not super warm/ fuzzy, but she was friendly enough and kept me updated.

So if I see Dr. Kokkanen for my initial consultation she is going to be my main doc rite? that means she decides my protocol etc..? I am confused btw Dr. Brenner and Dr.kokkanen. Does it really matter as I have heard that no matter who the main doc is, u get to see other docs too as they might do ur et/er depending on who is scheduled for that day. Is that right?

I have heard a lot of success stories about LIIVF. Excited and tensed at the same time. Planning to apply for the doh grant too.

your main doctor pretty makes he calls, yet with Dr brenner he listened to my concerns and changed up our cycles after a few failed ones.

You see the nurses and RE most of the time for monitoring, and speak w Doctor on phone or cosultation if needed- D Brenner did run the initial testings etc and Dr Kokk had preformed my surgery becasue Dr Brenner was not on the day

Which office are you going to?

Chat Icon Chat Icon If I may ask, what exactly happens during the initial consult? I will be bringing over the paperwork and my medical records. Will there be any tests?? Or will it just be talking??

Is DH going with you?
We basically went over all our records, and what he thought the best protocall would be, went over insurance and we left with paperwork that needed to be signed etc. We started w natural IUI and now we are at medicated cycles. This past cycle was #3

After we had our consultation, he examined me with sono etc. DH already had his sperm tested and that was fine- He will send you for a HUGE list of blood tests, and i had some polyps removed w dr Kokk. After all tha we startd our IUI a few cycles later

Love the nurses and all the front desk girls--Lake Sucess

had (2) 3 day transfers, one was a fresh cycle, one frozen both worked but had early losses...due to clotting issues. I had more intense blood work after 2nd loss...

IN the middle of stimming now

Good luck to everyone out there. Cant wait to get started..!! Does the RE discuss the protocol on the first day itself or only after blood work. Mine is a classic IVF case..

I go to the the Melville office and see Dr. Kreiner. LIIVF is good about calling you back and such, but I never feel like they actually remember "ME". I used to go to their Plainview office which they closed a few months ago.

At my consult, they did blood on both myself and my husband
(my husband was taken aback... he thought it was just a talking consult) and did a sonogram. Depending if you have any tests done already, they will probably give you a script to get an HSG done. They will go over how they would like to go about your treatment based on your individual obstacles. I've only had IUI cycles so I can't comment on the IVF procedures.

Regardless, I've only done 2 cycles with LIIVF, and both times I got pregnant (1st was my DS who is 18 months, and 2nd was this past fall which ended in miscarriage). I will be starting a new cycle hopefully in about a week to try again for #2.
