Vitamins - what do you take?
I have wondered this for awhile now as I have run into a few moms who say that its not caffeine that keeps them going its their vitamins...I never get a chance to ask them what wonder drugs they are taking.
I take a multivitamin but wonder if thats enough?
So what do you take and what benefit to you get from it?

I take a bunch of vitamins
I don't eat any fish or seafood, so I take fish oil about 3000-4000 mg a day.
I also take a woman's multivitamin, B12, Vitamin D and Biotin.
From taking the Biotin and fish oil - my skin is great, my hair grows real fast and is super healthy. My nails always have grown fast but not my hair.
I go to the dr every year for blood work, all my vitamin levels and other levels are where they are suppose to be. I barely get sick, I also wash my hands very, very frequently.
You also have to know what vitamins to take to ensure you are absoring the vitamins. Some vitamins are very low in the nutrients so read the back of them.
If you take fish oil, I highly recommend cod fish oil, it helps me a lot of times with my menstrual cycle.

Vitamins - what do you take?
I take a multivite and a bcomplex.
I keep hearing about all the wonders of fish oil, but I have a fish/shellfish allergy so that is off the books for me. Does anyone have an alternative to that? I know we have some vegans/vegetarians on here..............

Vitamin B makes a huge difference in energy levels
I take: Vitamin B complex Coenyme Q10 Magnesium Butterbur extract Phenylalaine Calcium/Vit D Omega 3 gummies
and I just started taking a women's multi.
Most of my vitamins are prescribed by my doctor

at 1 point I was taking..
Prenatals (2 pills 2x's a day) Probiotic b-12 fish oil and something else that started with an L.
DH works in the health and beauty field so it was his job to lay all of these out for me each day/night because otherwise I wouldn't take them.
Right now I'm only taking prenatals (1 multi 1 fish oil). I should start taking the probiotic again but I'm lazy.
I never noticed a difference when I am and when i'm not taking vitamins. I don't drink coffee either. the main thing that I notice effecting my energy is my exercise habits more then anything else.

I also take a probotic which has done WONDERS on my intestines. I have been a wreck since my father has gotten sick, and my stomach and other things were paying for it.
It took a good month for it to work and I swear by it now.

Last year I was pretty rigid about my vitamins (both pregnant AND not)... I took vitamin d, iron, fish oil, multivitamin.. .
Now I just take my prenatal. I may take iron.. my dr said it's up to me.

I take the Trader Joes brand women's multi vitamin Acidophilus Vitamin c Magnesium (I get frequent calf cramping in my sleep and was told this would help and it has) Thinking about adding biotin girls who take fish oil which brand do you take that doesn't taste bad or doesn't give you fish flavored aftertaste.

I sometimes get GOD AWFUL cramping in my shin and foot at night. Never thought magnesium could help that.....will have to look that up...
For me, Nature's Bounty doesn't give me any aftertaste whatsoever.

Nordic Naturals brand for Fish Oil.

2 prenatal vitams
2 calcium supplements
2 flexamin joint supplements
1 fish oil caplet.
I used to take Shaklee vitamins a few years ago. they have a very good line of women's vitamins, but they are pricey.

A flaxseed oil capsule also contains omega-3s, so that might be a good alternative.
I take fish oil, b-12 and red yeast rice for cholesterol. Also vitamin d 2-3x a day, since I came up deficient after only taking 1.

I take a prenatal and fish oil. Once I'm done with the prenatal I will be taking a woman multi-vit.

I only take vitamins that will help my migraines
So I take CoQ10 and Magnesium religiously Sometimes if I remember I will pop a vitamin D

I stopped taking vitamins, except for Calcium because I need the extra calcium, and switched over to drinking Shakeology shakes. It has all the vitamins and nutrients with the added benefit that it's my morning smoothie.
