Adult Birthday Party Ideas
I am having a big 30th/40th Birthday party at my house and I would like to do something really fun and out of the ordinary. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of something like renting a mechanical bull, etc. I am at a loss for ideas though.
Help!

Not sure when you're having it but if you can do something outside. I always wanted to do the Sumo Wrestling .

We had a Mad Men cocktail party for my DH's 40th last year. Everyone dressed up in retro early-60s style. The playlist was strictly 1964 and earlier. We had 60s style drinks and appetizers. It was so much fun!!!

I was going to say the same thing! One of FH's friends had a 30th and they rented a blackjack table and a craps table - we all 'gambled' with fake chips. At the end of the night, the person with the most chips won a bottle of Patron. It was so much fun!

Adult Birthday Party Ideas
DH & all his friends had a "big kids party" when they turned 30. They rented an adult bouncy house, cotton candy machine, got a slip and slide and made a pinata. It was a lot of fun and the bouncy house especially was a big hit! I didn't participate bc I was pregnant, but everyone who did had fun. DH is also a musician and got a few people together to do live karaoke as well.
For my graduation, we had a poker theme party. There are companies that bring tables and dealers to the party. Everyone gets money and we had a competition. The person who had the most money at the end of the night got a gift card for a restaurant. It was a mini Vegas in my parents' backyard -- lots of fun!!!

I dont know what time of year you are having the party but I was thinking of throwing my husband a white trash 40th.. Beer can lights, a country band playing music, camp fires, mac n cheese... etc... There are some great ideas on the internet...

Adult Birthday Party Ideas
Love the sumo wrestling idea! That would be hilarious.
One of my friends had her 40th at her home, she hired a caricaturist to create pictures of us all - was fun and we all had a nice memory to take home with us, plus we could all laugh at eachothers. They were real good!
I kind of like the idea of a big kids party, you could make vodka jello
