Ford Edge- car seats
Does anyone have a Ford Edge and know if you could fit a FF convertible and a RF infant seat right next to each other (one behind passenger, one in the middle)?
I was hoping to leave the seat open behind the driver, if possible.
Thanks!

Re: Ford Edge- car seats
We were actually looking into buying a Ford and the salesman told us that carseats can't be placed in the middle of the Explorer and Edge. Something about the middle seat not having the tethers/latch.

I dont know about both next to eachother, but we have an Edge with the seat in the middle, all necessary hooks are there

Maybe it's something new with the 2013 models? Not sure. When we went in I specifially said we needed room for 3 carseats and he told me that I couldn't put them all across bc the middle seat lacked something.

What i'm reading is you can do it, but the middle would have to be installed the old fashioned way

Ford Edge- car seats
the manual said that it is not safe for the car seat and that the safest places are behind one of the seats.

This must be something new. We have an '11 Edge and had DD's car seat in the middle. It was professionally installed and there was a latch on the floor to attach it to.
I will say that they weren't able to put two next to each other when we added the second one. We now have one on each side, which I really didn't want.

Hmmm, we have a 2013. Maybe I will call the dealer and ask. I really wanted to avoid one on each side too. I have my DD behind the passenger seat, in a comvertible FF. I wonder if it matters if the middle seat is an infant seat, or RF/FF?
