I don't see a lot of posts about this hospital. Anyone deliver there and have experiences to share??

I was supposed to deliver there..it's very nice..it's great if you are having a "typical" delivery..you get your own room and there is a fantastic nurse who is also a lactation consultant named Christine..if you want to know more, FM me..we did the tour there and I had to deliver elsewhere because they don't have a NICU but a neonatologist...I thankfully did not need the NICU, but had a less than typical delivery..

i delivered there this past summer. i had a great experience. the maternity nurses were wonderful. they have a breakfast buffett every morning on the maternity floor and you get a rondeavous steak dinner for you and your hubby one night, lol. i didnt have any complaints!

I was supposed to deliver at Winthrop, but because of another patient I needed to deliver at NSLIJ. I actually had a great experience there and loved the fact that it was small. I truly got the highest quality care and personalized attention. The maternity nurses were amazing and the nursery staff was very helpful especially for me with BF.

I had C sections there. Christine is very nice and the nurses were ALL fabulous and sweet. There was constantly someone from food services stopping by to see if you wanted a snack. The food was decent too! I had my own room twice! Not sure if all of the rooms are private. The L&D nurses were great also! They were not strict with visitors either.
