who is the absolute best cardiologist on long island?
My friend is having bizarre cardio issues that reg cardios can't figure out. There are certain familial issues that strongly point in the heart direction and I am trying to help research docs. Most likely its an electrical issue but again nothing is confirmed. Any recs? Ty

I don't know who the best is, but all of my family see Dr. Masciello in West Islip. Rave reviews..

Dr. Stephen Green @ NSUH is widely regarded as one of the top cardiologists on LI.

For an electrical issue, Dr. Joseph Levine, the Chief of Electrophysiology at St. Francis is probably considered the "expert."

If it's electrical then they need to be seeing and electrophysiologist. Dr. Levine at St. Francis for Long Island, but Dr. Larry Chinitiz at NYU is the best

I would look at the Drs at St Francis. My Dad has major heart issues and all his Drs were there.

Agree..my DH goes to him and swears by him and his reputation speaks for itself..
also my DH sees Levine as well (for A-fib)

I like Dr. Saverio Barbera for electrophysiology . I like the fact that he does not make patients go back to a "regular" cardiologist before seeing him.

I agree, I had an electrical problem and owe everything to St. Francis and their arrythmia center.
