How many rest days do you need?
If you alternate the types of workouts - is one day a week enough? I'm sort of getting addicted to exercise and don't want to overdo it. I do mostly spinning and weights with running a couple of days a week. I'm planning on adding in swimming this week.

I feel comfortable doing up to 5 workouts a week, I usually rest on Tuesdays and Fridays but if you have time and the energy for 6 workouts a week, more power to you!
That said, if your body is tired and feeling overworked, rest! I ran 13 miles on Saturday so I didn't do my normal Sunday easy run.

Yes, I rest about one day a week... always switching up the exercises and intensity.

How many rest days do you need?
I give myself 1-2 days off per week depending on how I feel and what I do. I alternate workouts all the time. I only run 3 days a week alternating with elliptical and other cardio. I try to switch up the intensity as well.
