manicures-shellac in particular
I haven't had my nails done since I got my BFP. I was curious if the shellac manicure is safe to get while pregnant (OPI gel manicures I think some salons call it also). There's no odor (from what I can tell) it's just a light that you put your hands under while they do each coat.
Does anyone know if this is safe?

My bestie was getting hers done every 3 weeks even right after her BFP. Her OB said it was fine. I can't tolerate the smell of a nail salon right now so I've been doing home manicures.

It's fine. I'm 27 weeks and have been getting the gel manicure since my bfp. No harm done and baby is just fine

I am 33wks and have gone my whole pregnancy. My dr. said it was fine as long as the salon is well ventilated.
