I know someone who had 3 abortions and has a beautiful son.
I just wanted to offer you hugs.  Thank goodness you ended a relationship with someone who was abusive and not supportive of you. You made the best decision for yourself. I wish you a lot of luck in your future!

I am so sorry you had to go through all that. Unless you had complications or scarring during the abortion, everything should be ok. I would have an ob check you out just to ease your fears.

I dont have advice for you because I have never been through this. All I can say is you did the right thing. You dont want to bring a child into this world if he or she cannot be cared for and loved the way they deserve to be. It would have been an awful situation with your ex, and on your own... I am so very sorry...
I am so sorry you are going through this, and remember - these things make us stronger.
I pray for strength for you, and hope that you will survive this.
If it is meant to be, you will have no problem conceiving and bringing a wanted child into your life...
I dont know where you live, but if you need a therapist, let me know, I can connect you with someone who may be able to help you...

My close friend had 3 abortions, and she has two healthy children.
I am one of those Dealing with infertility and yet I do not judge you. I hope maybe you realize with that statement, that there is no one in this world who can judge you. Life is a test , a hard one and you have to make your own way, your own decisions and you did just that. I could say a lot about how you could have done it, but bottom is like someone said, you cannot turn back. What is done is done, and I think maybe the therapy idea is a good one. You sound very sad over your decisions and it should be addressed so you dont have to live with guilt which is a horrible thing to deal with.
You have to find a way to believe you did the right thing for you and for a child who may have been born and I think honestly as much as I oppose abortions, you sound like you thought this out and did what was best and also really sound sincere about avoiding this in the future.
I think you will be a mother someday and a good one. have faith in yourself!

I wholeheartedly agree-- I know of people who have had two or three and who have had children after the fact. You need to make the right decisions for where you are in your life. As another poster said-- a baby would not change the way your ex was- and I believe that a baby needs to be brought into this world when there is a support system in place-- whoever makes up that support system is dependent upon the individual- but, it needs to be more than just you Don't beat yourself up.

I'm sorry you had to experience such a difficult situation with your ex. It sounds like you did the right thing in ending the relationship and in regards to having the abortion. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your question either but I echo someone else who suggested that if you're worried you might want to talk with your gyno or a counselor. to you

Thank you so much for your responses and FM's, you all have no idea how much this means to me. I always knew that we had a great group here, what a bunch of caring, smart and wonderful people. I am forever grateful for all the support I have been given here. I am going to my doctor for a follow up appointment next friday, and I will pray that all goes well.

How painful for you. I've been there.
glad you are moving on..this will get easier to deal with.
As far as conceiving down the road, my doctor told me that there should be no reason why I couldn't.
Everyone is different, but I guess when the time comes you will know.

lots of hugs to you....to be honest, the majority of women i know have had them; they are like you...they aren't evil women at all so don't say that.
Of the friends I have who are mommies, a few of them have terminated a pregnancy and all are fine.

it took such courage to come on here and tell your story....you are a strong woman who clearly thinks out all your choices and this is what worked for you, don't be ashamed or feel alone. You made the decision that was best for you and your situation and that's all that matters.
While I haven't been in your situation of having 2 abortions I think that as long as neither had serios complications I'll be when you are ready to TTC you will be OK.
