Warning About Frontline for Dogs...toxic to cats!

Posted on my facebook...please be careful if you have dogs and cats!

***A notice for anyone who uses Frontline flea products on their cats, forwarded to me by our front desk manager. Please read and forward this information to our trapper community and cat lovers everywhere. I know that in order to cut costs, many people may purchase canine flea control products and use them on cats. Frontline Plus for dogs does not contain any toxic chemicals that could harm cats. However, Frontline has recently released two new products, Frontline Tritek for cats and Frontline Tritek for dogs. Although both products share the name "Frontine Tritek," they do NOT have the same ingredients. FRONTLINE TRITEK FOR DOGS IS TOXIC TO CATS AND SHOULD NEVER BE APPLIED TO CATS, NOR SHOULD IT BE APPLIED TO DOGS THAT COME INTO CONTACT WITH CATS. On the Frontline Tritek for Dogs package, there is a small warning about the danger to cats. I am concerned that this could easily be missed, so please, pass this on to all your cat owner and care taker friends.***

This information has been on the box for frontline since the beginning that they are never interchangeable and something to the effect of making sure that after applying to your dog that it doesn't come in contact with the cat.

I know K-9 Advantage is deadly to cats.
That is why my vet stopped carrying it.
