not in love
with being pregnant. ive had a relative easy time thus far.. no MS, just mood swings, headaches, fatigue etc.
problem is im not one of those people that think this is the best time ever. dont get me wrong i cant wait for the end result but the thought of growing something, of whats actually happeneing, well it weirds me out.
do all women love this time? am i just weird?

I'm not crazy about it either - but it gets more exciting the more movement you feel and planning you do. And once you have your little one in your arms it's all worth it. But you are def not alone.

Re: not in love
I know a lot of women who do not love being pregnant. I don't love it. I don't love the anxiety I feel throughout the first and second trimester until the level 2. I don't love morning sickness, putting on weight, being out of breath, the changes in my body, etc.
I do love the kicks, picturing the baby insides, what he or she will look like. It is a means to an absolutely amazing end. Try to focus on the good. It is only 9 months, really such a short period of time in the grand scheme of life.

Re: not in love
Ugh, I hate the first trimester (I had ms with both pregnancies) and the last. The second trimester brings with it a second wind, so it's more tolerable. I am now in the third trimester again and am ready for the pregnancy to be over. I am sooooo not a good pregnant person. I like the end result, but hate the journey getting there!

No I hated being pregnant. Hated every single minute. I just had to always think of the end. And it was worth it.

not in love
I'm having bad MS so I'm trying to stay positive. I don't want to hate it but everyone tells me the second tri is better.

Re: not in love
I'm only 7 weeks and I'm not loving it either - I have anxiety about pretty much every part (healthy baby, miscarriage, etc.etc.) , but every time I think about the end I get so excited. I think of having my beautiful baby in my arms on Christmas eve and that seems to make me feel better. But.. it does suck right now!!!

Re: not in love
I have always thought being pregnant was going to be the best thing ever -- have dreamt about it since I was like 10 years old.
It is NOT a walk in the park at all and I've had a pretty smooth pregnancy. So for many people having tons pregnancy related ailments -- all my sympathies.
The first trimester I felt like a zombie-slug. Felt like everytime I was sitting down I had to peel myself back up. And wanted to just sleep constantly. Never felt 'good'. Had no energy. And I didn't even really have MS.
It gets better.
I don't feel wonderful -- as one thing stops, something else starts... but as you go along, you know baby is growing and eventually you'll start to feel it, see the ultrasounds, etc.
In the end? The excitement and love > everything else.

Re: not in love
I'm just about 11 weeks and I feel like crap just about every day. I heard it gets better and I sure hope so because I am miserable. Though it's not easy, I try to think positively about eventually feeling better.

Re: not in love
I feel the same way. I have had a very smooth pregnancy minus the nausea 24 hours a day during the first tri (knock wood that continues) and I can't imagine what its like to have real issues. I am not loving it by any means. I miss feeling like myself, I miss my body feeling healthy and fit but I know it will all be worth it.
DH and I always thought we would have at least 2 kids but I'm not sure I can do this again.

I hated every single minute of being pregnant, you are not the only one. Everyone also said that once DD arrived I'd miss feeling her move and I have to admit, haven't missed it once. I much prefer her on the outside!
