Job interview follow up
The fact that you landed a second interview in itself is a great sign.
It's hard out there to even get a first interview, so that's awesome.
I just went through this process myself so I know it's frustrating. Here are some tips I gathered:
How long did it take them to go from the first interview to then contact you for a second interview? That may be a good indicator to try and gauge their call back style. Some companies/employers drag their feet. Some are swift.
Did they mention anything in the second interview as to how long they will take to make a decision? Or how you would be contacted? via email or phone? If by email, check your spam folder - just in case.
I also would do a bit of internet research.....glassdoor.com and careerbliss.com have some great info on certain companies - either by people who used to work there, currently work there, or have interviewed. I myself have read up on interview reviews and got an idea of what was asked, how they were contacted if they got an offer, etc. Even google the company name and "interview." You never know what may come up!
I would also send either a handwritten note or email as a follow-up, if you haven't already. Reiterate your interest, quicky bring up something you discussed..say you're looking forward to hearing from them, etc. This can really help you stand out and keep you fresh in their mind. Hell, if you're feeling fiesty and really want this job, call the contact to touch base. It really can't hurt and it shows you're very interested and eager, as well as on top of things.
Either way, much luck to you! I think second interviews are a great sign and you must be doing something right.

Re: Job interview follow up
Sounds like an excellent sign.
I would absolutely send the handwritten thank you.
It does make a difference.
P.S. Don't totally lose all hope, if you do not hear right away.
I know where I work, sometimes a different candidate was offered the position but it does not always work out.
Good luck though!
