Help- disasembling furniture- sofabed
We purchased a sofa/bed from Jennifer Convertibles about 3 years ago- in order to get the sofabed into the house, it had to be disasembled to get into the house..
Well now, we need to set-up the room differently and we want to move the sofabed out- and have no idea how to do this? Also is it possible to get it out without completely ruining it? I'd love to donate it since its practically new and was hardly used

I know that I had to cut my sofa (not bed) in half to get it out of a bedroom in my previous apartment. I honestly wasn't interested in saving it though.
can you stop in a Jennifer convertible store and ask them.
there must be a way you can remove the bed part and then maneuver the rest of the sofa out of the room.

Re: Help- disasembling furniture- sofabed
its easy to take the bed part out, since the bed frame just unscrews. but moving the rest of the sofa is just as hard (it will weigh less since you took the bed out, but it wont change the dimensions).
i speak from experience trying to take the bed out and manuevering the sofa up the stairs....well it got stuck in the stairs. totally jammed. DH (boyfriend at the time) spend a few hours trying to dismantle it in the tiny staircase.
not fun at all.
