weight postings

im seeing lots of you post your weight lately but no one posts their height! it is so hard for me to guage what is even a good weight for me for some reason. i know its highly personal so im not asking anyone to post it - just, if you do - can you post your height too - especially you workout gurus cause i know you look amazing! in all fairness - here goes me - im 132 and 5'6 1/2. I would like to be 130 AND toned. Thanks ladies Chat Icon

Re: weight postings

Don't worry about what the scale says! And you and I are almost the same height but could be totally different builds, so we would weigh different amounts. This means nothing! By the way, I'm 5'7" and 132 right now, but hey, I just had a baby 9 weeks ago! Chat Icon. Around 122 is my normal weight. But I have a very slim build.

What you see in the mirror should matter more than what the scale says. If you only want to lose a couple of pounds, don't even bother looking at the scale. It will only mess with your head.

Re: weight postings

WOW! So you weigh the same as me and you just had a baby? GOOD FOR YOU! That is awesome! I feel like a chubster now!

I could never maintian 122 lbs. I got down to 120 for my wedding but I was literally starving for months. It is just not realistic for me to try and maintain below 130 - I would LOVE to be, don't get me wrong but, I know I would need to eat next to nothing. Isnt' that strange how different two bodies could be? Or maybe its just my metabolism Chat Icon I was 144 about a year ago so i'll be happy at 130!

Re: weight postings

I am 5'-4.5" and weight 127. up from 124. I am much stronger now, so I don't look at the numbers. as long as I can still buy a size 2 pants I am happy!

just weigh yourself once a week.

Re: weight postings

Starving yourself is the WORST thing you can do. It slows down your metabolism. You might want to check out Body For Life; it's an easy program to follow, and you'll learn a lot.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I'm so done with that...ive been married for three years so that was a long time ago. That's why I've convinced myself that I will be very happy at 130. I will check out the book. I'm generally a very healthy eater now though. But i guess the damage is done!

No, the damage is NOT done! Don't worry; you can speed up your metabolism by weight training and eating small meals throughout the day. Weight training causes your body to burn calories even after you're done working out.

Good luck!

Re: weight postings

I am 5'-4.5" and my weight has been fluctuating.

I was always 125, but then I gained some weight.

I am now about 130. I am definitely stronger, so as long as I stay at this weight, I'll be okay. I would like to loose a couple more pounds, but I don't want to loose the muscle I have gained either.
