PreK teachers--do you do anything for Celebration of the Young Child?

I guess I could explain it as a kind of get together with the students and their parents. We would hold it outdoors.

I am looking for activities or any kind of ideas for our first celebration. Even if you don't do this in your school, I am open to any input on what you think would be fun.

We did an around the world event last year. It was a big hit!

Each day of the week the teachers worked with their class to make a game, food, learn facts, songs, etc. about the continent. On Friday, we invited the families to school and made passports. The parents took their kids through all 7 continents and completed the activities. It was about 2 hours long.
