OBGYN in Greak Neck?
Can anyone reccomend their obgyn in the Greak Neck, Manhasset area that isn't Dr. Klein's office. I've been going to that office for 3 years now, it's like pulling teeth to get any/all test results back from them on time. Even though i love my obgyn, the office staff and nurses make staying there impossible. Im looking for an office that actually cares about their patients. So if you can, what obgyn do you use, what's the earliest you get a sono done when pregnant, and do you get sono's done in office? TIA!!

Thank you for your response! I was looking into that office! When did they give you your first sonogram when you found out you were pregnant? 8 wks?

I called them as soon as I got a positive and they saw me at about 6 weeks :) it was a lil early since they only saw a sac at the time but then they had me come back 2 weeks later where they saw everything! I really am happy there :) so many friends and people I know go there so that made my decision easier when switchin over since my old gyno retired :) the staff is great as well! Its not close to me but worth the drive!

Re: OBGYN in Greak Neck?
I'm so sorry you've had a bad experience at Dr. Klein's office. I'm surprised...I go there (just started recently and this is my first pregnancy) and they have been amazing. The nurses and office staff are super responsive and I have gotten calls with all my bloodwork/test results within a few days. I actually went last Wednesday for my first appointment (at 7 weeks) and had a ton of blood taken, and one of the nurses called me on Monday to give me the results. She said there was a ton of back up with their labs and I was one of the few whose results had actually come in.
Have you expressed your concern to them? Obviously if you don't feel comfortable there any more it's time to switch but maybe it's something they can correct? If you like your doctor it may be worth a shot?

Re: OBGYN in Greak Neck?
I've also noticed it takes a bit of time for test results from their office (i.e. had 16 week screening done on 3/1, I just got a call yesterday, 3/12, from a nurse that all the tests were okay). I only switched to them from Great Neck OB GYN b/c they're not really high risk, but at times I really do miss my old OB (Sadaty) and I have contemplated switching since they know everything I went through. I'm meeting w/ Alkasab for the first time at my next appointment, so we'll see how that goes.

Re: OBGYN in Greak Neck?
You will LOVE Dr. Alkasab, she's my primary obgyn. Im so sad to leave her, but if im going to keep having tests done, i can't be stressed out by them not calling me back everytime. I refuse to be just a number to them.. Good luck!!

That's how I've felt at times too, in the beginning I felt like Klein was on top of everything for me, I guess I should just shut up and be happy b/c it means I'm having an uneventful pregnancy so far if they're not kicking up a stir for me! lol But I got used to getting my lab results emailed to me w/ Great Neck OB Gyn (they have an awesome patient portal where I'd email Sadaty all my questions too and I'd always hear back promptly). I guess there are pluses and minuses w/ both offices....but if (god forbid) I have another problem, I know I'd want someone like Dr. Klein on my team, so I'm really torn.

OBGYN in Greak Neck?
I go to Dr. Sarah Linkie in Great Neck!- affiliated with LIJ New Hyde Park... LOVE HER! This is my first pregnancy so I was freaking out about everything in the beginning but anytime I needed her she's been there (answers to emails pretty quickly, and she'll stay on the phone with you and answer any questions you have)...early appointments or late appointments (whatever is convenient for you)...had my first sono at 5 weeks. Very hands on with her patients. Now I'm 36 weeks, had a very good experience with her throughout the whole pregnancy!

Re: OBGYN in Greak Neck?
I go to Preferred women's health. They have two offices: one in great neck on northern blvd and another in Woodbury. It's a group affiliated with north shore. They delivered Bon of my daughters and I have nothing but great things to say about them. The doctors Are: Henry prince, Harvey marchbein, Jeanine Morris-rush and Melissa Oppenheim.
