Hysteroscopy to remove iud?
Hi does anyone have experience with the above? I had a paragard put in in Sept. It was tolerable till Jan when I started to get insane bleeding during and between periods. That was also when I noticed the strings were gone. I called my obgyn office and the earliest I could get in was 5 weeks later. At that appointment (2 weeks ago) he confirmed the iud had moved and after several manual attempts he could not dislodge it so told me we would have to do a hysteroscopy in the upcoming weeks. Two weeks and countless phone calls later I still cannot get the scheduler to confirm a date but the earliest it will be is a full 5 weeks from my last appt. and if i have any bleeding day of then i have to reschedule again. anyone have wxpeience with this procedure? Was it successfull or did you need to have it removed surgically? Any problems conceiving after? Does this scheduling process seem reasonable to you? The docs are great at my practice but anytime you need anything from the staff i want to bang my head against the wall. I'm thinking if leaving but want to finish this job there first. Tia!!!!
Eta this a ten minute office procedure with local anesthesia

It sounds like you need to see a new doctor, I just had issues with my IUD and bleeding and they have been on top of me like a hawk with getting the situation fixed. For your own safety (since a dislodged foreign object in your body can do more harm than good) please go to another gyn and tell them the issue.
