I'm not losing weight on it either Chat Icon

Idk what I'm doing wrong though bc I never go over my daily points AND I run on the treadmill every single day. I don't even want all my daily pts, I feel it's hard for me to eat them all

I was actually thinking about lowering the amount of daily pts I get but idk

Same here, I don't even use the weekly extra. I need to lose 30 lbs by July. I'm going on vacation and will be TTC starting August. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong Chat Icon Chat Icon

the minimum points is 26. in order for u to lose weight, u need to get that in. you don't have to use your weekly points. try to bulk it up with protein. that should help you

Re: WW Question

I would actually recommend using at least some of the weekly points, especially if you exercise. I don't work out, and I eat most (often all) of my extra 49 points each week, and I've been losing consistently. Sometimes not eating enough slows down weight loss just as much as eating too much. So I would experiment with eating more points. I find it helpful to eat different amounts of points each day... Like eating more weeklies on a weekend and then sticking to 26, dailies when the week starts. I seem to do better that way than eating the same amount every day.

I would definitely eat your daily points. To me, my points go fast, and I don't fibgpd it hard to eat them. But if you do, I would try to add points without adding volume.... Add extra healthy oil or avocado to a salad, top your oatmeal or yogurt with a few almonds, have a latte instead of plain coffee, eat an extra ounce or two of protein at dinner.

Also, are you weighing and measuring your foods, at least at home? I love my food scale... Weighing things makes your point calculations really accurate!

Eta I wouldn't worry about exercise for now, if you can add it in, great, but I think 90 percent of weight loss depends on food intake. Exercise is great for health, and can maybe help speed or maintain a loss, but IMO, it's not crucial for weight loss.

If you are frustrated, maybe post some daily menus of what you've been eating, and maybe one of us can spot something?

Also, WW is a kind of slow and steady weight loss program, they say .5 to 2 lbs per week is average, so you are pretty much in that range. Although it would be nice to see faster results, especially with all the work weight loss takes!

Re: WW Question

I agree the the other posters that you definitely need to eat all your daily points. I find that the weeks I have the biggest losses are the ones where I splurge on the weekends and use the extra weeklies, but then go back to being strict during the week.

Are you drinking enough water? I try to drink 64-96 ounces a day. That's my goal. I usually get the 64 in. Drink consistently throughout the day.

Also, are you eating small, reasonable portions at every meal, as opposed to going long stretches without eating and then over eating at lunch or dinner? Even if you aren't hungry, it's important to eat, especially breakfast. And I snack throughout the day.
