Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
Hi everyone! My husband and I went for our first ultrasound yesterday and found out we're having twins!! Such a shock! Now I'm nervous about all the complications that can come with a twin pregnancy- preterm labor, premature babies, bed rest, TTTS since mine share a placenta... Did anyone not have any significant problems with their twin pregnancy?
Thanks!

Re: Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
i had a very uneventful pregnancy with my identicals....up until my water broke a month early....
i was never on bedrest...even went to disney with my 2 1/2 year old! just uncomfortable towards the end.
i went into labor when my water broke in the middle of the night and i delivered my boys via c section a couple hours later. found out they had ttts! i literally had a sonogram the day before and everything was fine. it was a very scary 2 weeks in the nicu. i dont want to scare you, but if you are having identicals speak with your hi risk doctor about having you delivered no later than 36 weeks bc things can change VERY quickly at the end. send me a message if you want more info on the ttts, i wish i had understood it more before i delivered!
but honestly, it wasnt that bad other than that issue. i know plenty of people who had twins and never went on bed rest too. every pregnancy is different!

Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
Totally uneventful until the end! I didn't have any morning sickness and I worked up until 33 weeks with not a single issue. One morning i woke up and was like WHOA, and ppl would see me at work and go WHOA and that's when I felt different. Otherwise I felt normal, pregnant, and happy! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Thanks so much for your responses! I'm trying to not worry since I know every pregnancy is different but it's getting overwhelming reading about all the possibilities!
It's great to hear some positive stories!

Re: Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
Got pg, shock of my life- twins and Identical.
No Morning sickness, No bed rest, no complications. Healthy and i even went to a Bon Jovi concert at 7 1/2 months pg. Hit the malls and got to the beach too lol.
Even considered going vaginally as long as both were head down. That changed, one wasnt and had a scheduled c-sec at 38wks.

Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
mine was pretty uneventful - I delivered my boys at 36 weeks exactly - they were both over 6 lbs and neither had to go to the nicu
I had a slight issue with my clotting factor in my blood but that only would have had an impact on the type of birth I had - if I could get the epidural or night - but on the day of delivery it was not issue
I did not go on bed rest and I was still able to pick up my large almost 2 year old - I was swimming and walking with out a problem

Mine aren't identical but I had no issues until I hit 33w6d, when I went into labor for the first time .. and then again for a 4th and last time when I was 35w4d and started to dilate.

Re: Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
My pregnancy was terrific! No morning sickness, no bloated feet/ankles, no high blood pressure and no bed rest. Nothing, according to the dr I was" text book" perfect!
Had vaginal delivery at 37 wks 2days, came home 2 days later

I was induced at 38 weeks for my fraternal twins. My pregnancy was uneventful. It was pretty uncomfortable for the last weeks.

Re: Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
Mine was uneventful, for the most part. My only "issues" were: More morning sickness than with my singleton and felt huge & uncomfortable at the end, but made it to 38w4d, my scheduled c-section. Both were healthy. weighed 8lbs, 2 oz. weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz. Still can't believe that I carried 15 lbs of babies.

Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
*raises hand* i had a wonderful pregnancy with my twins- id like to say i was very lucky but i think with all the advances in prenatal care, id think that is becoming the norm! which is great!
no morning sickness, no bed rest, no preterm labor.
i worked up until the day i delivered - and delivered vaginally.
the only reason i went into labor is because i was induced b.c of my blood pressure. otherwise id like to think id have gone even further.

Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
I also had no issues. I was a mail carrier & worked up until 16 weeks. I then left the job because feet were swelling. (Too hot in summer) I carried until term at 38 weeks. NEVER on bedrest both twins were 7lbs plus few oz...

Re: Did anyone have an uneventful twin pregnancy?
No problem, no complications, only heartburn towards the end . . .and by end I mean 37 weeks!!! I was ready to deliver around 33 weeks, but they didn't come until 37!
I went in to labor naturally, got to the hospital at 7cm and pushed both girls out in 6min and then 4min.
I felt sooooo good after they were out! LOL I was ready to run a marathon! All that pressure was gone!!!
