NYC Dr help please
I am 8 weeks and 4 days. We got to hear the heartbeat today and it was so exciting. Doctor said everything looks great which was a relief since I had some heavy spotting 3 weeks ago. Then she said she has to discuss something with us. My heart sank. She said she is leaving the practice in 3 months and then my tears started rolling. I interviewed so many doctors before I found her. She is moving to a long island practice which does not work for us. So does anyone have a female obgyn in NYC who they would recommend? TIA

i LOVE my obgyn's office. My dr is Johanna Weiss, but you should know she doesn't do deliveries anymore. the whole practice is amazing. I saw Weiss throughout my whole last pregnancy and Waterstone delivered me. Love them so much that whenever I have the next one I won't switch even though we moved further into Queens very close to LIJ.

good luck!
ETA: and I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the 12+ years I've been going there.

My friend used this practice a long time ago and loved it. They weren't taking new patients when I was first pregnant. I LOVE my dr, but it's a guy. I go to a practice of mostly men, with one woman who is new and another who has been there awhile but doesn't deliver.

Re: NYC Dr help please
I LOVE my ob. and she does almost all of her own deliveries. . she delivered my sisters baby and her partner's baby and my first. . she is so great and pays so much attention. . that said, you do sometimes have to wait a little but for me it's worth it
Dr. Po Ching Fong.

When I had my first DS I went to Dr. Katrina Bradley. She's part of a four woman practice and Dr. Huang actually did my c-section. I thought all the docs in the practice were great. They are on the upper west side.
