When did you take your newborn out?

I know this had been asked a million times.
My twins were premies born on January so I waited I think 10 weeks or so to bring them out in public.

When did you take your newborn somewhere like target or homegoods?

I can't wait to get out and shop to decorate his nursery

I did it right away. Def the first week.

You have other children so I don't think an extended inside time is even possible.

I do not think an extended inside time is even necessasary. My Ped even said not needed.

The day after we got home from the hospital. Baby carrier was in the cart with a blanket over it and no one touched or came near her.

I had twins in the winter, and it was harder. I'd go out if I were you. 10 weeks is fine! There is nothing as bad as being holed up in your house for days on end.

6 weeks I think. to a baby gtg. then 8 weeks to outlets to shop. Needed to get out. It was Oct/Nov so not super cold out.

i waited 3 months. I took him to close family and friends homes - but not stores. I just didnt think it was worth the risk!

I have to add my pediatrician recommended that time!

I don't stay in necessarily, but I avoid direct contact with people for about 6-8 weeks. I don't let others touch the baby, come close and breathe on baby etc. I go out for car rides and walks early on, but avoid restaurants, malls etc for a few weeks, and when I go, I put a blanket over the car seat.

Right away. DD was born 1 week before DS started preschool. She was out of the house everyday with me dropping him off & picking him up. It was september the weather was great & she never got sick. Also I think it is very different the 2nd DC compared to the 1st. You have another DC that has their own schedule.

Tiny tot was 3 weeks early and born in the summer. I took her our right away. She went every where with me. No way could I stay home and not get things done while on leave for 3 months.

Dd#2is almost 2 weeks old and has been to target, supermarket, Easter egg hunt (outside in a park) to the park with dd#1. Lol. She's covered, by the shade of the seat/stroller. No one has come near us.

about the 2nd week. even though she was a winter baby, i was literally going crazy in my apt.

3 weeks and haven't stopped since. I have 2 other kids that did not want to be cooped up in the house.

Almost immediately. He was less or about 2 weeks old when his took a pic with santa at the mall.

pretty immediately to family homes. maybe 3-4 weeks for target and bru.

she is 10weeks now and I take her most places. still keep her covered as much as possible.

DS was 5 days old and we went to target and/or kohls!

My son is 3 weeks tomorrow and has only been to the dr, my parents house and outdoors to the park. I am too nervous this time of year to bring him in public places and stores.

We waited until around 6 weeks since DS was born during flu season.

Twins.....waited 2 months.
DS#3.....maybe a week

Both within the first week..yesterday was the first time i had to take both of them with me to take my older DS to school/speech then to the store...

I did it right away, but DD was a summer baby so I wasn't worried about the flu and what not. I kept her in her carrier and would cover it with an Aden + Anais blanket in stores when we were around a lot of people so they wouldn't have the urge to touch.

right away....had to get stuff. I went on a weekday when it wasn't crowded. It was fine, i wouldn't have let anyone near him.

Pretty quickly for both boys. For Ds 2, we were out at the playground when he was less than a week old and on walks (the weather was beautiful) and as soon as I felt comfortable driving, we went more places. For DS 1 - it was cold so we started going out around 2 weeks to the mall to walk a little before it opened.
