All Inclusive with kids
I am looking to plan a vacation this summer for a week and we want to go somewhere tropical. I was looking into the moon palace in Riveria Maya. I have two boys ages 5 and 7 and me and my husband will be going.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Re: All Inclusive with kids
I loved the Iberostar Parasio Maya been there twice (also The Iberstar Parasio Lindo - Maya rooms are slightly bigger and slightly more money but all party of the same resort...I stayed at the Lindo when we were a family of 4 but when we became a family of 5 had to move up to the Maya - Lindo only allows 4 in a room). It is in the Riviera Maya. I have been to Moon Palace too but like the Iberostar much better. I went in November and my boys were 5 and 7 and DD was 1.5yrs. They have a wave pool, lazy river, small water playground, several small playgrounds, childrens club, childrens shows, beach and lots of pools. We plan to go back there or would consider the one in Jamacia which also gets good reviews.

Re: All Inclusive with kids
If you decide on Moon Palace there is a Facebook group for Palace members that is very helpful in providing information. I know if you are going for a week you can also book through them as a member and get some extra perks if you wanted to look into that. We recently stayed at Le Blanc in Cancun which was amazing but Adults only. We spent some time at Moon Palace for a dolphin swim.

Re: All Inclusive with kids
We just got back last night from Riveria Maya and stayed at Dreams Resorts AI.... It was very family/child friendly - we have no complaints and all was great... if I were to comment about anything it was the lack of lighting in the room/bathroom area for putting on make up.
There is a kids club (Explorer's Club) and our daughter (4yrs) didn't want to go the first 2 days, but then she tried it and she loved it. The hrs are 9:30am-10pm and the first day she went at 11am and we picked her up at 6pm and she was exhausted and wanted to go to bed - very cute - the daily activities are quite assorted from the pool, to movies, arts/crafts, etc... They are fed lunch/dinner and done up sooo nicely for them. The 2nd day she arrived at 9:30 and we picked her up at 2pm and then she wanted to go back for the camp-out on the beach at 6pm - games, movie, dinner, marshmellows - all on the beach for the kids.... there must have been 20 kids ! We don't leave our child with many ppl, and I felt comfortable here - you get a beeper and they will page you if needed, or if your child is ready to call it a day. Also, you need to get buzzed in and out of the club and you can't go behind the one door into the kiddie area - at 9am they give parents tours of the club, we didn't take a tour. I highly recommend this resort and kid's club. The pools, activities, food, entertainment, all was very good and we booked through cheap carribean and got a great deal.. Let me know if you have any questions and I can send you pictures too. The grounds are kept beautifully!!! The people were very nice too.

We went to the same resort about 2 years ago and loved it. Kids had a great time. I'm with you on the bathroom lighting,

Re: All Inclusive with kids
we stayed at Now Sapphire in Riviera maya without kids. but there were plenty of families there with children of all ages. It was a beautiful resort!
ETA: Now Resorts are owned by the same hotel group that operates Dreams and secrets.

Re: All Inclusive with kids
We just did Dreams in La Romana, DR. Our kids are 2 and 5. Its the same set up as one of the previous poster said....we just liked the fact that it was 4 hours away? My DS really did not want to go to the Explorers club and we were fine with it. We did the upgrade with preferred service....we loved having room service on those exhausting days and a smaller pool with fewer guests. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. The grounds were beautiful. The kids LOVED it. We would go back in a heartbeat.
