Doggie anxiety causing diarrhea???

So I was sort of joking about Ozzie's anxiety about thunder during the storm the other night, but he ended up having his first accident ever, diarrhea in the bedroom, Wednesday night. He seemed okay after, went on his bedtime walk at 10:30 and went to bed. At 12:30 he woke my husband by whining and clanging in his crate, Jon let him out and he ran to the door. So Jon took him out where he strained to poo again but only had a little. The next day (yesterday) he was fine, he ate normally and his walker said he seemed totally himself, which I saw too. Normal day. Then at 4am this morning he whined and clanged again, ran to the door when let out, Jon took him out and more diarrhea. He reported a bit more again on his morning walk just now. We are starting the chicken and rice diet, and will call the vet today. The last time he had an upset stomach was after a weekend where he was groomed and went to a doggie event, so we think he may have some anxiety that we didn't know about that is causing this. Would that make sense though? For him to still have diarrhea 36 hours after his panic over the storm? The only thing he has eaten differently this week was one small spoon of plain frozen yogurt as a treat on Tuesday, which he has had before. He also doesn't seem to be in any pain, no lethargy, just the nighttime wake ups for diarrhea. Thoughts?? I feel so badly for him if his anxiety is causing this!!!

try aunt libbys can of pumpkin to help stop the diarhea......depending on his size--add a teaspoon/tablespoon to his food

My dog had a lot of anxiety and it absolutely causes him to have diarrhea sometimes and more frequent poops depending on the situation.

just curious, what food is ozzie eating--there was a recall in march for eve, innova, california natural and one other---just thought i'd throw this out there to you!
